What we send

A customer gets a text only after they call and miss you, or after they submit your form and check the consent box. The form stores the time they agreed. Every customer text includes “Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

STOP and START

STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT opt that phone out. START, UNSTOP, and YES opt it back in. An opted-out number is not texted again.

Canada (CASL)

Canada (CASL): commercial texts and emails need consent, identification, and a working unsubscribe. The form checkbox is express consent, and AfterHours keeps a consent record (time, wording, source, IP) for every lead. A missed call is a request the person started, so the reply is a response to their inquiry. Every message must name the business and give a way to reach it (phone, email, or website), and STOP or unsubscribe requests must be honoured within 10 business days; AfterHours honours STOP immediately. Do not use AfterHours for cold or bulk outreach: CRTC Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules and the National Do Not Call List apply to sales calls and texts you start. Customer details are personal information under PIPEDA: publish a privacy policy, collect only what you need, and delete leads on request. This page is not legal advice.

United States (A2P 10DLC)

US carriers filter application-to-person texts until the sending number has an approved 10DLC brand and campaign. Register that in your phone provider. AfterHours does not register it for you. Unregistered US texts can be blocked, which is why a lead is saved even when the text fails.
